Multidots was founded in 2009, during the global recession. Aslam and Anil saw two problems: talented developers in India who weren’t valued, and western companies frustrated by poor service from outsourced teams. Aslam’s problem-solving and Anil’s servant leadership made the perfect partnership. They started with two hundred dollars and two dots.
But they still needed a name. Days of brainstorming went nowhere, and they’d hit a hard deadline—the last day to register with their lawyer. On the way to the office, riding Aslam’s motorbike through Ahmedabad, they stopped at a traffic light—then it hit them. Aslam shouted, “How about Two-Dots?” Anil liked it, but it felt too small and limiting. “How about Multidots!” And the rest was history.Since 2009, those two dots have grown into a multi-million dollar business with over a hundred—and two founders who still lead with the same principle: serve people, solve problems.
